Warranty
What our workmanship warranty covers, what it does not, and how to make a claim.
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for one year from the date of substantial completion, unless a longer period is stated in your contract. Within that period we return and correct defects in the work we performed at no charge to you.
2. Manufacturer Warranties
Materials, fixtures, appliances, windows and products installed on your project carry the warranties provided by their manufacturers, which commonly run from one to ten years or longer depending on the item. Those warranties are passed through to you, and we hand over the documentation at closeout. Where a manufacturer honors a warranty claim, the part or product is provided under that warranty, and labor to install it is covered only if the claim falls within our own warranty period.
3. What Is Covered
- Defects in installation of materials we supplied and installed
- Workmanship failures in framing, drywall, tile, trim and finish work
- Leaks resulting from our plumbing installation or waterproofing work
- Doors, drawers and hardware we installed that will not hold adjustment
- Paint and finish defects caused by application error
4. What Is Not Covered
- Normal settling, hairline cracks in drywall, grout and caulk, which are expected in Florida construction
- Normal wear, scratches, dents and cosmetic damage after completion
- Damage from misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance or failure to clean and reseal as recommended
- Damage from water intrusion not caused by our work, including roof leaks and flooding
- Damage from storms, hurricanes, lightning, pests, mold or acts of nature
- Work altered, repaired or added to by others after we complete
- Items the client supplied that we installed, where the defect is in the item itself
- Failures caused by pre existing conditions outside our contracted scope
- Consumables and maintenance items such as bulbs, filters and batteries
5. Maintenance You Are Responsible For
Some items require routine maintenance to stay covered. Caulk and grout lines in wet areas need periodic inspection and renewal. Natural stone counters need sealing on the schedule the supplier specifies. Exterior finishes need washing and inspection after storm season. We provide care instructions at closeout, and following them protects both the work and your coverage.
6. Conditions
- The contract must be paid in full for warranty coverage to apply.
- Coverage applies at the original property address.
- Coverage is extended to the original client and is not transferable unless agreed in writing.
- You must give us reasonable access to inspect and correct a warranty item.
7. Making A Claim
Call 305-590-3763 or email info@remodelsquad.site with your project address, the completion date, a description of the issue and photographs. We respond within two business days and schedule an inspection where needed. Warranty work is performed during normal business hours.
8. Emergency Items
If an issue involves active water intrusion, an electrical hazard or anything that makes the home unsafe, call us immediately rather than emailing. Take reasonable steps to limit further damage, such as shutting off a water supply, while you wait for us.
